Regulation kit and protective gear for training safely.
For your first class
Sportswear and a bottle of water are all you need. There is no need to buy any kit before you have tried it. For the trial session, ask Olivier whether gloves can be lent to you.
The kit
- Gi jacket, with or without sleeves, lightweight for strikers or reinforced for grapplers.
- Fight shorts.
- Belt in the colour of your grade.
Protective gear
In competition, this protective gear is compulsory. In training, it becomes essential as soon as you move on to sparring bouts.
- Headguard with visor.
- Gum shield.
- Open-finger gloves, MMA sparring style.
- Shin guards with instep protection.
- Groin guard.
Which gloves should you choose?
The Team Blanco club accepts these models, among others: Mix Fighting System Free Boxing gloves, Venum Challenger 3.0 MMA sparring, Ringhorns Charger MMA sparring, Leone 1947 Essential 2, Phantom Athletics APEX Sparring, Rinkage Hades and Montana Hellcat MMA sparring. Always check with your instructor and the current rules.
